Climate Emergency: Taking a Bold, Personal Step
“Our most pressing challenge is keeping our planet healthy. This is the greatest responsibility and opportunity of our times. I want Europe to become the first climate-neutral continent in the world by 2050. To make this happen, we must take bold steps together. To achieve this, we do not only have to be ambitious at home, but the world has to move together”
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission
This program is for anyone wanting to do something personal about climate change. In this series of three interactive webinars, Maria Emanuela Galanti (MEG) uses Focusing to design sustainable action steps. (Being a Focuser is not a prerequisite.) She thinks that climate actions offer everyone a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bridge the personal and the communal, the present and the future.
The topics to be covered will be:
First webinar: FROM INWARD TO OUTWARD
Symbolize the impact of climate change in your life, and resonate with your needs and symbols call to action;
Second webinar: FROM OUTWARD TO INWARD
Learn from science and from others to overcome your resistance to change through simple, basic first steps
Third webinar: FROM PRESENT TO FUTURE
Resonate with the possibility of extinction of the human species and the body desire to continue to shape a proactive resilience and feeling of empathy for the next generations.
This training will be highly interactive and experiential, and will include ‘assignments’ to prepare for the first and third webinars.
Maria Emanuela Galanti (MEG) is a Focusing Trainer (2014, TIFI) based in Rome, Italy. She holds a MA in Philosophy from SUNY/Buffalo and a Laurea Breve Degree in Development Psychology from Sapienza.
