Focusing Around the Dinner Table (Introductory Webinar)
The environment in which we were fed as children can be seen as a hologram for our emotional road map. This is where we learn who we are. We absorb cultural practices and knowledge and gender roles. We can experience love, fear, pleasure and shame during these moments. How worthy we feel, how we relate to food and eating, and how we interact in social settings can have their roots in the interactions that took place while we were eating as children
This Focusing workshop gives the participant an opportunity to explore these themes in Wholebody grounded presence with community support in a way that celebrates whatever comes and gives it the possibility to be new again.
All are invited no matter the level of focusing. This is an introductory course with the possibility of further exploration in the form of a theme-based, on-going focusing group or follow-up workshops.
The course will be offered at two different times:
- Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 11:00am – 12:30pm (Eastern US time)
- Saturday, September 16, 2017, 12:00pm – 1:30pm (Eastern US time)
