Playful Sensing and Listening for Us and for Kids
Wonderful Opportunity in Oregon this summer!
If you were ever a child this one is for you. Also if you are a teacher, a parent, a grandparent, an auntie or uncle or medical or social worker who meets with children. Bring a child or come on your own.
You can gain a natural ease with children and others, and offer mini-invitations which make space for inner life.
This workshop will connect you with your own experience, helping you sense the wisdom of your body, while you also learn to help children connect with their inner experience. By attending to our living forward energy we will be able to accept ourselves as who we are, and find our way in life. We will learn ways to naturally use playful sensing and listening in daily life: for ourselves, our clients, and our young relatives.
Heidrun Essler is an academic speech trainer, therapist, and Focusing Coordinator who teachers internationally. Her rich experience with both children and adults and her sprightly, engaging teaching style will enliven you, whether you are a therapist, or grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, parent, or caregiver. She will be assisted by Nina Joy Lawrence, Community Wellness advocate, Focusing Coordinator, who also has had extensive experience in working with children and adults.
Venue: Lawrence family home near Corvallis, Oregon, with large yard. We will fix food and eat together, have workshop sessions anywhere on the property, take woods walks in McDonald Forest only 5 min. from the house, and have access to a nearby swimming pool for cooling off and afternoon fun.
