Inviting and Welcoming Support from Our Extended Community

How you can participate:

First consider, “What are you good at?  What do you love to do?” We urge you to join us with your own strengths and skills

  • If, for example, you are a social worker and know of a community in distress that could use focusing-oriented trainings, invite us to work with you.
  • If you are a trainer, consider attending one of our train the trainer events
  • If you are a writer, check out our community blog and see if you have something to add or contribute either in a blog or a discussion
  • If you like to travel, you might visit one of our project sites and then write an article about it for your local newspaper or for our blog.
  • If you have talent as a fundraiser, you could volunteer to host a money making event for our projects.
  • If you are great at organizing things, you can help us create systems that increase our capacity to reach out to new areas.
  • If you are an artist, you could volunteer to help our different programs with logos or artwork for flyers and brochures.
  • If your strength is statistics, you can help us design simple, culturally competent ways of measuring our successes and help us interpret the data so that we can learn from mistakes and share effective practices.
